ABOUT ANDREA

Little did I know that it was something I would become passionate about. It was the perfect combination of what I loved from both finance and marketing. The numbers of calculating and measuring the space, making sure I was choosing the perfect size container to maximize the area, as well as the creativity and freedom to design something.

After working for 2 years with the local company (which was only supposed to be 3 months) I decided to move to New York with my sister who was attending graduate school at Columbia University.
Although I was still very much obsessed with organizing, I thought I would give a "real" / desk job a try. I ended up working for a family office as a personal assistant / office manager, which was a drastic change of pace from what I was accustomed to. Sitting at desk, staring at a computer screen basically performing the same task everyday, I was not satisfied.

Unsure of where the next steps in life would take me, apparently so did the rest of the world, the pandemic hit. I got furloughed from my job, temporarily moved back home when everyone went into lockdown.... started organizing again. I wasn't going to give up on NYC, moved back 6 months later and there began the birth of Voilà.
I grew up in Houston, Texas where I attended an International School from Pre-k to Middle School. I later attended the University of South Carolina where I double majored in Finance and Marketing. Graduating a semester early, I moved back home to Houston where I intended to give myself a few months to explore both career options before I decided on which path to pursue. However, after a couple of months with no headway in any direction, I decided to try something different for the timing being, and that was organizing.
